Many of my clients visit galleries, auction previews, events, and art fairs with me, becoming knowledgeable insiders. While others prefer for me to inspect work on their behalf or to have viewings at home. Similarly, some clients find it exciting to bid in person at auction, while others prefer for me to act as their proxy.

My deep knowledge of the auction process, ability to analyze the market, and extensive relationships within the auction world allow me to present my clients with unparalleled advice on auction purchases. I am engaged in an ongoing review of global auction offerings for rare, hard-to-find, and undervalued work. At the highest and hottest end of the market, auctions provide access to material that might be difficult to attain on the primary market. For collectors looking for value, auction is also often the best place to look. Bidding at auction is fun and exciting, and I guide my clients through every step of what can be a complicated process.

I have spent almost twenty-five years in the art world, developing a reputation and relationships that allow me to attain highly sought after works of art for my collectors on both the primary and secondary markets. I successfully navigate gallery waitlists, and I can reach into my network to find off-market pieces privately.

As an independent art advisor, I offer unbiased guidance on every acquisition, and I only represent my clients — never accepting undisclosed fees from galleries or auction houses. When buying with an eye to investment, I create market reports for each piece under serious consideration. I am aggressive in negotiating favorable purchase terms, and I am transparent in my billing practices: my clients know the true retail price and discount they have received. Regardless of professional discounts, I never mark up framing or installation.

It is essential to me that my clients have a seamless, efficient, and cost-effective post-sale experience, including framing, shipping, and installation. I pride myself on attention to detail, and I work with the leading art-world experts to take care of my clients’ collections. I am committed to the ongoing care of the collections I help to build, and an annual review of insurance values is included in my fee.
